LITHA || Summer Solstice Ceremony @ Zoom

Our Summer Solstice, also known as Litha, or MidSummer literally mean light in Gaelic. We will be finding that light within ourselves this Litha to balance out the dark that seems to dance so freely.  It is our own personal responsibility whether we know it or not to bring forth that light, to turn on our light and be the guiding light for each other as we navigate these incredibly fiery times. At Litha, the ancients understood it was a time to caste our evil, the aspects that possess some souls that are lost already can be flushed out of our system. This Summer we will get to practice grace, Gratitude, Reverence, Awe, Creativity and Earnestness to the giver of life our Sun as without our Sun we would not survive very long as a species. It is with grace that we acknowledge our blessings in life. Talents, creativity, insights, innovations bestowed on us as an built-in seed that was nurtured by those that also were graced to recognize it. We are graced to be here on this planet at this time with all the freedom of expression at the tip of our fingers. What would our ancestors think of the blessings we have been graced with? Do we have the grace to recognize what is afforded to you at this time.

This Solstice we will be gathering in my garden to honor our ancestors that grace us at all ceremonies whether we know it or not. This is the time for us to stop and smell the roses of life and acknowledge the that fierce Sun energy that can burn away so much fear and heaviness from your heart. We will focus on the { P A U S E } acronym we created in April 2020, PATIENCE, ANTIBODIES, UNITY, SURRENDER AND EQUANIMITY but mostly the EQUANIMITY as its going to be a wild Summer and that means many things to different people. Your way of letting off steam and my way might be opposites but we need to let those energies out for our collective good.
If you wish to wear a flower crown, or bring your treasures to be blessed lets bring that energy together for a Supernatural Summer to reveal itself. Time for joyful intentions and gratitude to burst from our hearts to pollinate all the garden of life. If you are attending in-person please bring a pot-luck for us all to feast space is limited.

O Thou who passest thro’ our vallies in
Thy strength, curb thy fierce steeds, allay the heat
That flames from their large nostrils! thou, O Summer,
Oft pitched’st here thy golden tent, and oft
Beneath our oaks hast slept, while we beheld
With joy, thy ruddy limbs and flourishing hair.

Beneath our thickest shades we oft have heard
Thy voice, when noon upon his fervid car
Rode o’er the deep of heaven; beside our springs
Sit down, and in our mossy vallies, on
Some bank beside a river clear, throw thy
Silk draperies off, and rush into the stream:
Our vallies love the Summer in his pride.

Our bards are fam’d who strike the silver wire:
Our youth are bolder than the southern swains:
Our maidens fairer in the sprightly dance:
We lack not songs, nor instruments of joy,
Nor echoes sweet, nor waters clear as heaven,
Nor laurel wreaths against the sultry heat.
